In response to a ruling by the Federal Trade Commission and the passage of the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions (FACT) Act, Kentuckians are now entitled to a free copy of their credit reports.  You may request one report from each credit reporting agency every 12 months.

The site  www.annualcreditreport.com, is the only federally-mandated source to receive this free report. 

There are three reporting agencies that provide credit reports Equifax, TransUnion and Experían.

You may obtain reports from all three agencies at once or request one at a time (weeks or months apart).

No purchase or submission of credit card or payment is necessary in order to use this site.  You may purchase you credit score for a fee.  This is NOT required to obtain your report.

Please be aware that a number of commercial sites have popped up in recent years offering offering a "free credit report" often as a ruse to charge other products or subscription charges to your credit card.
