Friends
of the Library Authorize Purchases
The Friends of the Madison County
Public Library, in January, 2003 authorized the purchase of two
large exterior book drops and new shelving end panels to display
video materials for a total expenditure of $6,410.00 Much of this
expenditure was made possible by used book sales. Library angels
are still being sought to help provide additional funds for these
needed improvements.
Sue Hays,
Director of the Madison County Public Library, said increased
circulation at both the Berea and the Richmond facilities has
resulted in books being left outside overloaded book drops risking
damage to expensive materials.
