Friends of the Madison County Public Library

The Friends of the Madison County Public Library is separate from, and in addition to, the Madison County Public Library Board and is a non-profit body. The purpose of this organization is to promote library programs and services not funded by the Library Board. The Friends raise monies in various ways, including dues, to: purchase books, equipment and materials; provide special programs; and provide various forms of appreciation to the library staff.

Regular membership is open to all through payment of annual dues set by the Executive Committee.  All categories (individual, family, etc) of membership entitle a Friend to seek appointment to the Executive Committee if he/she wishes to become involved in policy decisions and is able to attend the monthly meetings. The Executive Committee consists of fifteen (15) members who serve a term of three (3) years.

Book sales, both at the library and the Friends Annual book Sale are major funding sources used to support the library.  You can help by donating, buying or volunteering to sell Friends' books.
