Sewing Machine Intro

Make friends with a sewing machine at the Creative Studio! We'll get you comfortable with sewing machine basics while you piece together a small quilt top.

You'll learn:

  • Winding and loading your bobbins
  • Changing the needle
  • Using the controls
  • Sewing a straight seam line
  • Pressing seams

Materials provided:

  • 5in. quilting squares (9 total)
  • 13in. square batting
  • Bias tape (for framing)
  • 13in. backing fabric (We recommend bringing your own if you have some!)
