We're celebrating America's 250th birthday by exploring the 40s, which is when Legos were invented. We'll be making Lego necklaces and Lego art on canvases (we'll be using glue and markers for this part of the craft).

Watch, listen, and ask questions as we learn how to make some amazing tools in the Maker Lab. This class will show you how the machines in our Makers Lab can work together to create a more complex final product.

Gather with us to create, mend, knit, stitch, or make.

Explore history like you never have before! Learn about our nation's past through crafts, food, and mysteries. This week, we will be learning how to make a sweet treat despite the 1940s war time food rations.  

Play board games, swap book recommendations, and explore creative projects with other teens while building real-world skills. Unplugged is your space to meet new friends, be yourself, and build confidence.

This course will assist students to safely and effectively use technology for learning, working, and accessing services. Students will learn how to operate electric devices, communicate digitally, and use online resources.

Madison County Adult Education offers free English Language Learners classes for those who want to improve their reading, speaking, and written English language skills.

We promote preschool literacy with conversation, parachute play, music, movement, and picture books. Activities end with stations (occasionally preschool crafts). It may get messy—please dress appropriately! Meant for ages 3-5.

Little Artist Story Time introduces preschoolers and their caregivers to basic art ideas through two engaging picture books, a fun hands-on craft, and group sharing.

A book club where you pick what book you read every time! This month, we will be discussing graphic novels. Read a book, short story, or comic and tell us all about it! Teen programs are intended for those aged 11-17. 

Try some Japanese snacks, enjoy some fun crafts, and watch a few episodes of anime with us each month. Anime Club is intended for those aged 12-18.

Crash Course is a weekly introduction to the machines and equipment housed in the Makerspace and will include basic operations, materials selection, and even resources to start your very own project. 

Peaceful Play is designed with shy or neurodivergent children in mind, though all are welcome.

Join us for an interactive story time for babies and their caregivers, featuring lap and finger plays, scarves, board books, songs, rhymes, and gentle movement that support early language and social skills.

Welcome to the Madison County Public Library's Makerspace crash course. Every week we will do an introduction to the various machine and equipment housed in the Makerspace.
