This course will assist students to safely and effectively use technology for learning, working, and accessing services. Students will learn how to operate electric devices, communicate digitally, and use online resources.

Madison County Adult Education offers free English Language Learners classes for those who want to improve their reading, speaking, and written English language skills.

We promote preschool literacy with conversation, music, movement, and picture books. Story Time ends with a 30 free play session (or occasionally preschool level craft). It may get messy—please dress appropriately! Meant for ages 3-5.

Stop by the Berea Location to watch the Berea Woodcarver Group in action, hear some great stories, and learn a thing or two about wood carving. 

Join us to learn to sew, have a space to lay out projects, have questions answered, or to just have a place to come and sew with friends.

Little Artist Story Time introduces preschoolers and their caregivers to basic art ideas through two engaging picture books, a fun hands-on craft, and group sharing.

A book club where you pick what book you read every time! This month, we will be discussing romances. Read a romance book, short story, or comic and tell us all about it! Teen programs are intended for those aged 11-17. 

Try some Japanese snacks, enjoy some fun crafts, and watch a few episodes of anime with us each month. This month we will be doing Perler Bead Keychains and watching Mob Psycho 100. Anime Club is intended for those 12-18.

Crash Course is a weekly introduction to the machines and equipment housed in the Makerspace and will include basic operations, materials selection, and even resources to start your very own project. 

This program is one part of the four component model of Family Literacy. Parents will learn how to leverage soft skills - communication, professionalism, teamwork, and critical thinking – to bridge the home and classroom for their child.

Peaceful Play is designed with shy or neurodivergent children in mind, though all are welcome.

We love learning different types of literacy through reading, music, movement, and play. It may get messy; please dress appropriately! Meant for ages 0-5.

Welcome to the Madison County Public Library's Makerspace crash course. Every week we will do an introduction to the various machine and equipment housed in the Makerspace.

Celebrate America’s 250th birthday by learning about how pioneers used science to make ice cream! We'll be "churning" our ice cream (heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, ice, and salt) using a bag.

We provide the building blocks, and you bring the creativity!

This class includes a comprehensive review of the four main subject areas of the GED test:  Mathematical Reasoning, Reasoning Through Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science.
